Rooted in care.
Connected to a fuller life.
Counseling, personal growth, and outdoor connection come together in Kevin’s work through Tree of Life.
Kevin’s Story ↓“Broke, busted and disgusted, I walked into Tree of Life to answer a question many of us struggle with... how'd I end up here, and what do I do now? That was a decade ago. Life sure has changed for me since then- and it can for you too.”
— Kevin Bolton, Coach Kevin
Before becoming a coach, Kevin came to Tree of Life as someone who needed support and a way forward. Counseling helped him find direction; returning to the outdoors helped him build healthier routines and meaningful connections. Together, those experiences shaped the work he now offers through Tree of Life.
Tree of Life’s role in a lasting change.
Counseling at Tree of Life helped Kevin make sense of the challenges he was facing and begin moving forward. Mountain biking and other outdoor activities gave him opportunities to put that progress into practice—building healthier routines, forming trusted friendships, and reconnecting with a sense of purpose.
The impact of that care extended into daily decisions, friendships, and shared experiences with his wife—and now shapes the support he offers others. As Kevin puts it:
“Good counseling at Tree of Life and reconnecting with the outdoors saved the trajectory of my life.”
— Coach Kevin
Working through Tree of Life brings that experience full circle. Kevin now offers coaching within the organization that helped him find his own way forward, with access to licensed professionals when a client’s needs call for clinical assessment or counseling.
“Before there was a coaching brand,
there was a person who needed help.
That person was me.”
A familiar thread in different stories.
On his adventures over the years, Kevin has heard many accounts that echo parts of his own: difficult seasons, isolation, a desire for change, and the importance of finding dependable people. Those conversations strengthened his commitment to work that considers mental health and well-being alongside activity and adventure.
“We who are outside
are healing.”
— Coach Kevin
Coaching through Tree of Life.
Tree of Life describes Kevin’s approach as a combination of personal coaching and real-world experience. His background in cycling and Central Florida’s outdoor communities informs work centered on goals, accountability, healthier routines, and meaningful connection.
Thoughtful conversation. Practical follow-through.
Life Coaching offers time to reflect, clarify priorities, identify barriers, and choose measurable next steps. Outdoor Experiences create opportunities to build confidence, try an activity, reconnect with interests, and participate in community. The approach follows the individual’s goals.
Sessions may begin at the Tree of Life office and move outdoors when appropriate. Walk-and-talk planning, Coffee in the Woods, mindfulness, and local park hikes offer different settings for the work.

Traditional Indoor Care
While the outdoors is an important part of Kevin’s coaching philosophy, his work is not limited to trails, parks, bikes, or kayaks. Through Tree of Life Counseling Center in Oviedo, Coach Kevin also provides structured, one-on-one life coaching in a traditional office setting, where clients can slow down, identify what is getting in the way, clarify their goals, and develop practical strategies for moving forward.
This more didactic and goal-oriented component of coaching provides opportunities for measurable change, reflection, personal assessment, problem solving, accountability, and completion of real-life, measurable goals.
